DESCRIPTION :

The IET Wiring Regulations is the national standard for electrical installations in domestic, commercial and industrial settings. Amendment 2:2022 is a major update to BS 7671:2018, The IET Wiring Regulations, Eighteenth Edition.

BS 7671:2018+A2:2022 incorporates Amendment 1:2020 which brought about new requirements for Electric Vehicle Charging Installations which embraced changing technology within this sector. Additional changes within BS 7671:2018+A2:2022 include protection against thermal effects and fire caused by electrical equipment, protection against voltage disturbances and electromagnetic disturbances and a new chapter on prosumer's low-voltage electrical installations covering energy efficiency measures, the interface with the smart grid, the management of electricity consumption, the management of renewable sources of electricity, and energy storage.
