Paper bag art is fun, creative, and relaxing! Whether you’re a child or an adult, you are invited to join the community business, Being Neighbourly, for an hour and a half of arts and crafts fun!
In this workshop, you will:
- Learn about different types of Paper bag art (and why it's a great way to spend your time)
- View examples of Paper bag artworks on different themes and discuss the methods used.
- Choose a theme for your Paper bag artwork.
- Plan your artwork.
- Complete your artwork.
- Learn about the origins of the workshop in Being Neighbourly's monthly newsletter, Paper Bag Challenge, and how you can take part in (and win) upcoming competitions on our website: https://beingneighbourly.com/competition/
Artwork themes will include:
- Personal Identity and Expression - You will create self-portraits or identity bags that include symbols, colours, and words representing your personal values, experiences, and cultural backgrounds.
- Mindfulness and Relaxation Techniques - Focus on mindfulness through art by creating calming designs or mandalas on paper bags, promoting mental health and well-being.

Social Commentary and Activism - Create art pieces that address current social issues, encouraging you to use your paper bag artwork as a platform for social change and activism.

By attending this Event/ Workshop, you agree to abide by the terms and conditions outlined below. Your participation signifies your acceptance of these terms.
1. Liability Disclaimer: The organizers take all reasonable precautions to ensure the safety of participants. However, they are not liable for any personal injury, loss, or damage incurred during the event. By attending, you waive any claims against the organizers, their staff, and venue owners.
2. Non-Refundable Tickets: All tickets purchased are non-refundable. In the event of a cancellation or rescheduling, options will be determined at the discretion of the event host, subject to availability.
3. Weather-Related Cancellations: If a Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above, or a Black Rainstorm Warning is issued, the event may be rescheduled or cancelled based on feasibility. Refund policies for such cancellations will be communicated in due course.
4. Product Collection: If your ticket includes a book or any product, you must collect it within one month of the event date. Failure to do so will result in the product being voided.
5. Code of Conduct: Attendees are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful and courteous manner.
6. Photography and Recording: Please be aware that photos and videos may be taken during the event for promotional purposes. If you do not wish to be photographed or recorded, please inform the host before the event begins.
7. Age Restrictions: Participants under the age of 18 must have parental consent to attend the event.
8. Email Sharing: Please note that email addresses may be shared with the event partner or host provider for communication purposes. If you do not wish for your email to be shared, please inform us before the event.
