Hong Kong International Literary Festival, Montclair Literary Festival, and Bookazine invite you to a conversation between 2020 Booker Prize winner Douglas Stuart and award-winning actor, author, filmmaker and activist Alan Cumming

“We were bowled over by this first novel….It’s a desperately sad, almost-hopeful examination of family and the destructive powers of desire.”
-Booker Prize judges

Fellow Scot Alan Cumming became friends with Douglas Stuart after reading Shuggie Bain.

"I could not stop thinking about it... There's nothing better than having a book that you just can't wait to pick up again."
- Alan Cumming
