Rise From Crises
DESCRIPTION :
CFA Society Hong Kong (also known as The Hong Kong Society of Financial Analysts) is a non-profit organization founded in 1992 by a group of CFA® charterholders. The Society shares the mission of CFA Institute in raising the professional and ethical standards of financial analysts and investment practitioners through our advocacy and continuing education efforts. In celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Society, this publication sums up the major milestones of Hong Kong financial market over the past three decades. As the Chinese characters for “crisis” contains both danger and opportunity, its English plural "crises" also comprises "rise". "Rise from Crises" is a collection of 30 essays, witnessing how Hong Kong rose from different crises in the past 30 years. It also demonstrates how CFA Society Hong Kong grew together with members and passed on the experience and knowledge. This volume comes in five sections. Section 1: Introduction - From a Fishing Village to IFC Mall; Section 2: Macro Foundation; Section 3: Capital Formation; Section 4: Capital Deployment; Section 5: Alternative Assets. The complementary nature of these articles highlights the contributors’ quality and shared passions. At the same time, the diversity in opinions and backgrounds speaks volumes for the society as a melting pot.
